I thought it was entertaining and I laughed a few times. I laughed more durning Doogal than I did in Hoodwinked. The voice work was really good.

I guess it's because people love to nail particualr movies, especially the cute ones, so that they can feel better about themselves........which I tend to do on a regular basis and damn proud of it.........

I think the real question is why anyone would like it. Oh yeah, because you're obsessed with an actor who played a part in it. That's the only positive response I've heard from the movie, and it was totally irrelevant to the criticism of the film. I checked it out from the library today and I seriously couldn't believe how bad it was. There was no character development, the storytelling was bad, and the voice actors seemed pretty expressionless throughout the whole movie. The jokes were a bunch of unfunny one-liners, and if you're into flatulence, then boy will you love this movie?
And that's not even mentioning how bad the character designs were. The villain is a spring. With a head. Who shoots ice beams. Out of his moustache.
Wow.

I actually did have fun watching it though, in a Plan 9 from Outer Space kind of way, but don't go into it expecting to like it.

I rather liked "Doogal". It was a very cute movie! The dog looks so cute! I did, however thought that they could do w/o that whole "flatulence" thing, though! "Magic Roundabout", the original British film from which "Doogal" was dubbed, wasn't bad, either.
