what I think would be a fun twist for a reboot
So, none of these are really complaints, because I love them, 80s campiness and all. But supernatural/resurrection angle can be a bit convoluted at times, not to mention it sort of invalidates Mrs. V's original spree if Jason is still alive, and what, hiding in the woods for decades, including from his mother?
I think a fun way to keep the original formula but also switch it up would be to have Jason be the father of a young girl, Pamela, who was a camper who drowned in the lake, and actually stays dead. Maybe she was really into hockey and that's why he chooses the mask.
