Season 3 episode 2 recap clips didn't air previously? (spoilers)

I'm binge watching on Netflix, so watched Season 3 episodes 1 & 2 back to back, and 2 of the recap clips at the beginning of episode 2 did not air in the previous episode.

Both appear to be at the party after Tami tells Buddy she's reallocated the jumbotron money to academics.

1 - she tells Eric she has done this.

2 - Lyla asks Tim "do you really want it - the boyfriend / girlfriend thing?" and he says "yes."

hm... a head scratcher. What happened here? Makes the most sense both scenes were edited out for length, but the bit between Tim & Lyla doesn't have any room for that. He tells her it's ok with him if they remain a secret, walks away, and then she grabs him & kisses him. So it seems to me it would have had to be an alternate scene.

Anyone catch this?
