I just started watching and was curious. Is each season a new school year / football season. No spoilers please.

Yes it is, each FNL season represents a different football season/school year.
shareNice. This would be a perfect show for Netflix/HBO. 10-13 episodes each leading up to the game and then a new week starting with each episode. Being on NBC hurts the first season because the language is unbelievable. Netflix and HBO could really show what high school football is like.
Great show so far though. I probably would've watched if I ever had Direct TV and wasn't busy playing HS football / Drama / job.
