I watched the show when it aired live, watched it again two summers ago, and again now over the past few months. I am sure I am not the only one that has watched it multiple times.
What questions do you still have after watching every episode closely?

One of mine is how did Mac McGill ever recover from his racial comments? I understand that the team ended up backing him in the end, but it seems like in the real world he would have been fired or asked to resign.

Also, for those that live in Texas, how realistic was this show for high school football? I live in a small town in Michigan and I see several similarities. It seemed to hit on just about every topic I could imagine.

I wanna know what happened to Buddy Jr after he transferred to Dillon; same with Vince, Tink, Rucker, etc. I'd love to know what happened to Jess and if she actually became a coach.

I'd like to know how Mrs. T was able to get a job as a principle after the whole pro-choice debacle at Dillon.

I'd like to know whatever happened to JD McCoy and his abusive father. I'd like to know if Tim built his house, opened the garage with Billy and really kept it 'Texas Forever."

As for YOUR question, I think that the team--even Smash, at first--knew that Mac didn't mean to come off as racist; he was speaking directly to the individual attributes that Smash and Matt had. When he stood up for Smash when those hater-town police tried to arrest Smash and pull him off the bus for starting an altercation, that word obviously circulated and people realized he wasn't a bad guy at all; hell, he'd been there for years.

Good thread. And I, too, have watched the entire series multiple times.
