I really like this movie
The only problem I have with this movie is the lighting other than that I have no problems what so ever with this movie
So am I the only one who loves this movie

Yes. The movie is basically Friday the 13thor Halloween sequel in quality but with Alien and Predator franchises added for added publicity.
For a better sci fi horror movie of similar style watch Slither or The Blob.
For better Alien or Predator movie...basically all other movies are better.
I enjoy it for the cheesy slasher it is. You've got an interesting cast, thrills and chills plus action. it's a damn shame about the lighting.
shareWell, I'm glad somebody liked it other than me and my wife. I mean, what do people expect...? This movie is the 4th or 5th out from the original Predator. Sheesh. So for what I expected and what I got out of this movie...I was really pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's 'B" grade, but a good high dollar B grade with plenty of make fun of moments, but plenty of dollar well spent moments too. Let me just say I like it better than the first AVP, that took itself waaay too seriously, especially with that annoying ass guide. Yes, I'm racist.
"Just something from a film I like."
I've been a huge fan of both the Alien and Predator franchises, and this hack movie just spits in the face of the canon that was established in the earlier films, just to shoehorn those wonderful science fiction universes into a silly teen slasher movie. If that's the kind of movie they wanted to make, fine. But they shouldn't have it set in the Alien and Predator universe ... they needed to create their own monsters, because the majority of fans of these franchises were disgusted with this mockery of a movie.
It was Aliens and Predators in name only.
You know I just rewatched the movie tonight and, to be honest, it wasn't as terrible as I remembered. The first AVP was an alright movie but it took forever to get to the action and the non-action parts were so boring. In this one, first off interspersing the Alien/Predator scenes with the human scenes was a good idea because it meant action throughout the whole movie...and the non-action scenes may have been laughable, but the cheesiness actually saved those scenes from being boring.
Like you said, the movie was too dark but it's hardly the black screen that people make it out to be.
And I know Alien fans hated it for making the Aliens "weak" but, remember, they were only weak compared to the Predator. They still completely overpowered every human they killed, and that's how it should be. I had a problem with the OP Alien in the first movie that killed 2 Predators. Maybe the first one was justified, as it did sneak up and catch the Pred from behind, but in a 1-on-1 fight with the 2nd Predator, no way it should've won.
After rewatching both, I can honestly say I prefer Requiem to the original AVP. The only thing good about AVP was the setting (that underground pyramid was pretty cool, I must admit), but the rest of the movie was either boring or weird, and watching the unrated version was extra weird because of the obviously CGI blood they tried adding.
I will admit, however, I wasn't a fan of how the Predalien could just impregnate people with Aliens. That was kinda lore-breaking. If I hated a movie just for something that small, though, that'd be nitpicking to the max lol.
