AVP was great. AVPR.... Not so much. Dark.... Period. Plot meandered, story lines of characters didn't snyc. The cold fish of a sheriff. The predators came to abate the aliens, yet they seemed to go off mission and start hunting random humans. And stop putting egg babies in the damn kids... OMG... Stop tarnishing a great franchise! Arghhhhhj!!!! So disgusted.
shareActually, the kid getting facehugged and ripped open by the alien was the best thing about the movie. Finally, a movie that isn't afraid of killing off kids. Too bad it had to suck so bad.
I watched it shortly after it was released, and the only thing I remembered was that it was so dark that I could hardly make out anything most of the time. I could remember nothing of the action, the characters or anything. Just the lighting, and the feeling of how much I thought it sucked. So the other day I figured I'd watch it again. It was indeed like watching it over again for the first time, because nothing of the action, characters or anything was coming back to me. This time around, however, I was struck by how forgettable everyone was. Almost an hour in, and the movie is still introducing what I'm guessing are main characters. I can't remember anyone's names, and I don't care about any of them. And no matter what is going on, it is just boring. I haven't finished watching it yet, I've got half an hour or so remaining. I couldn't stomach it all in one sitting.
