Well, if you can ignore the lame plot, forgettable characters......
.....poor dialogue, uneven production values, etc., I think it's actually an enjoyable movie, lol! I mean, don't get me wrong, it is a badly made film. It's basically a fan-film that happened to be produced by Fox and given a moderate budget, but I went into it with expectations lower than Hell, and I found it to be entertaining. I guess I just love seeing Predators and Aliens on screen, 'cause I love both franchises, and I thought they handled the look of the creatures well, at least when I could see them :-P. They did have some nice homages to the previous films, and I thought the pred-alien was pretty cool. I thought it was funny that they went with cranking up the violence and gore to not-so-subtly contrast the PG-13 AVP: *beep* it!! Let's kill pregnant women and children!!" I mean, if something like this happened in real life, I'm sure these things (at least the xenomorphs) would kill plenty of pregnant women and children, but it felt kinda forced and over-the-top. But, despite it's plethora of badness, I still find this film fairly entertaining, probably on par with the first AVP. What do you guys think?
"Game over, man! Game over!"
