Great gory kills, a genuine sense of dread with the alien infestation, and some cool fight sequences. I don't understand why this film gets so much hate, it was certainly a lot better than the first

it gets a lot of hate because it's poorly lit, and the actors suck.

nothing wrong with the action and gore though.

Do you think the studio will release a version where we can see the movie? all that darkness was added in post all they gotta do is open the video editor and hit undo then print?

Are yoy kidding me? Both films were weak but at least the first AvP movie had some awesome action moments and believable visual effects. This one fails in every single section - effects, story, pacing, acting, action, gore...

I've been a huge fan of both the Alien and Predator franchises, and this hack movie just spits in the face of the canon that was established in the earlier films, just to shoehorn those wonderful science fiction universes into a silly teen slasher movie. If that's the kind of movie they wanted to make, fine. But they shouldn't have it set in the Alien and Predator universe ... they needed to create their own monsters, because the majority of fans of these franchises were disgusted with this mockery of a movie.

It was Aliens and Predators in name only.
