Horrible and cheesy ending

So, Beth is this weak and scared woman and then becomes The Terminator? Come on? Please.

reply

lol, you really dont get it....this scene is supposed to be cheesy.

get a clue, man.

SPOILER ALERT

Whether that "scene is supposed to be cheesy" or not, the whole ending was ridiculous starting at the point Beth miraculously throws Stuart off of her by head butting him. Everything that happens after that is absurd even by horror movie standards.

reply

The ending is indeed ridiculous but you should go back even further. The true nonsense begins when Todd becomes overwhelmed with remorse immediately after he physically injures his victim even though he was absolutely delighted when he was mentally torturing her by thrusting the saw in her face. Killers sometimes feel remorse but there's never been one that tied-up the victim, taunted her with a weapon and then became immediately remorseful after inflicting the first injury.

reply

I wondered about that too. The entire point of this movie was to gross out people. Period. There wasn't any plot other than kids get caught and tortured beyond belief. One manages to get away and becomes what she was just enduring. Granted this was probably part of her agreement to be let go but still, the movie was torture for torture sake.

reply

She fulfilled her agreement by killing Stuart -- hence her line, "Let him bleed to death."

Killing Axelle was payback for luring them into that situation and getting her friends killed.

"Kirby? This is making a move..." ..

reply

agreed, and I never got how Bart's character just went a complete 180 as well, going from untying Beth to savagely trying to kill her almost immediately afterwards.

That's exactly why I came to this forum. I couldn't believe my eyes when Beth overcame Todd with a mere head-butt. I thought I'd missed something, kept re-winding the movie to see where she'd secretly grabbed a weapon or what.

Please put some dashes above your sig line so I won't think it's part of your dumb post.

The penis chop, tramp stamp, or the kids playing soccer with that one chicks head?

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?

reply

I most of the first one and all the second one. The deaths are effective but there is one big question left unanswered. If so many people have gone missing in that area wouldn't there be an investigation?

reply

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. If EHC is killing dozens of young adults every week in the same town, and a significant percentage of them are American, it would raise a lot of red flags. And after awhile, there would be an investigation. There is virtually no way that EHC could completely infiltrate the FBI, Interpol, e.t.c.

If you are talking about Beth overcoming Stuart, not really a stretch for me as he was a weak, pathetic excuse for a grown man. That's why him getting his "manhood" cut off is so hilariously ironic. If you are talking about her getting revenge on the cute nude model who honey trapped her and her friends, I don't exactly blame her for getting revenge. Was the method of execution over-the-top and cheesy? Sure, but damn if that wasn't one of the funniest scenes in a movie that I've ever seen with those little bastards playing soccer with her decapitated head, the one kid shooting and then doing a little celebration dance with his buddies to end the film. Classic Eli Roth, haha. Of course, it didn't hurt things that I watched this film for the first time whilst stoned, so it just made it that much funnier to me.
