Meghan on the Bus

On the bus Meghan said something to the effect of "why didn't Vicki as Kelly's only friend/ally stand up for her?" or something to that effect. I'm confused though, isn't Kelly supposedly Meghan's friend? Isn't she the one who's known her the longest and brought her on the show? So why would she say that and why wouldn't she stand up for Kelly? Especially because in her interview she said how conniving, manipulative and nasty she felt Heather and the other women were all being. I mean Heather even came right up to HER calling Kelly trash among other things. I dunno I found that whole thing weird.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. BUT she followed it up by concluding "since she was apart of THIS particular situation" or something to that effect. Im paraphrasing. I think its a cop-out and a crappy way to justify her wrong-doing in NOT doing anything AT ALL. You bring Kelly onto the show as your friend and you have been anything but. Since she hasnt been around for the trip and fights, she didnt feel she had to stick up for her. She knows right from wrong?? And those ladies were treating Kelly wrong!

I agree. Meghan didn't have to go into the situation she was not present for, but on the bus she saw how the ladies were acting- especially Heather- and she could have stood up for Kelly.

Meghan's complete silence bothered me too. I understand the chaos of that bus ride must have been stressful, but why remain totally silent if you feel someone you consider your friend is being picked on? It really bugged me when Heather went over to Meghan, and as another poster said, flat out called Kelly trash yet again to Meghan. I hope it's pointed out at the reunion.

she said she didn't know what happened. I thought she should have said something to but to be fair if I had no idea what happened, butting in with this particular group, might feel fruitless. All Vicki said was "It's 3 am can we stop?" and the rage totally turned onto her. Those ladies never would have let Megan cut them off.

Right she wasn't there so didn't see what had happened. But beyond that, I think she was smart to stay out of getting stressed with those crazy ladies, being newly pregnant after all she went through to get that way.

However just for fun, I'd love to see a redo of this episode had she never gotten pregnant :p

I was just going to start a thread about this, but then I found this one so i don't have to.

I believe Megan should have stood up for her friend Kelly. I know that Megan is comparatively young and does not have seniority on the show, but she is well-respected by all the other cast members and she's Kelly's good friend. Her excuse, "I didn't step in because...I didn't know what had happened," does not resonate with me. When people are telling Kelly she's trash - after hearing how ganged up and ostracized Kelly had been feeling - Megan absolutely should have said "Hey guys, you know what, Please stop. Let's just take some time to cool off and resume the discussion a different time when emotions are less heated." She could've even played the pregnancy card.

On the other hand (just to give Megan the benefit of the doubt), maybe when she heard Kelly saying hurtful, vitriolic things - like about Shannon's chin hair - perhaps a part of her truly felt that Kelly was bringing it on herself and that Kelly needed to just 'take her medicine.'

I tend to think the latter in that situation. I can't picture Meghan being vindictive purposely.

I think Meghan has said multiple times, that although Kelly is her friend and that ultimately she does have her back, that there are certain times where she cannot support or defend Kellys actions. Regarding the bus specifically, I think Meghan was referring to that Kelly was receiving backlash from the nasty things she said, and Vicki is nasty and says nasty things, and she is the one that fed Kelly all of that info anyway, so that is why she should have been defending Kelly.

You are not alone. Meghan was quiet as a mouse on that bus and should have spoken up. Point Blank..Period..Exclamation Point. She has so much to say in front of Kelly but when the other ladies are around she says less.
