Vicki saying "bye felicia"
Just irritated the heck out of me. Woman, grow up. First of all, that thing is so overused. Second, it sounds really vacuous coming from a supposedly mature, businesswoman/grandmother.

Excuse me, but all of them should grow up! "Mean girls" in high school aren't as petty and vindictive as these b!tches! A lot of maturity needs to be spread around; and "lay off the booze grandmas!" ๎ฒ

It sounded like it was a line she wanted to remember to use rather than off the cuff. It was just stupid.
shareI thought it was Tamra who said it to Vicki when Vicki was leaving Shannon's party.
shareYes, it was Tamra.
shareVicki didn't say that guys lol.
share"Bye Felicia" was said by both, Tamra and Vicki, on two different occasions.
Tamra at Shannon's home while Vicki was leaving after being ambushed. Vicki at the reunion to Shannon because Shannon doesn't like her or doesn't want to be around her.

American Reject, you are absolutely correct. Tamra and Vicki both said it. Somehow, Vicki saying it immediately after "get off my show" three or four times, made me think she had rehearsed it in front of a mirror, and in front of Briana, and in front of her hairdresser, and in front of the mailman, and he told two friends...

Tamra did say it at the finale. I guess Vicki says it too.
Knock if off Napolean make yourself a dang quesadil-la!
๎ช
Yes, Vicki does say it. It's in the trailer for the reunion...
shareOh ok. I assumed they were talking about in the finale.
shareI was thinking more the reunion as well! Vicki is the original OG of the HW franchise isn't she! I didn't watch back then much, but she's been there running things for as long as I can remember! ๎ฒ ๎

Gotta say....if ever there was an argument for original not necessarily meaning "best", it's Vicki.
shareHow many times are we going to hear that megalomaniac call herself the "OG of the OC"? She is also the "OB of the OC".

All the OG's do it; Nene, Ramona, Vicki, and Teresa! It's their baby and that's how they speak of their tenure in the franchise for as long as I can remember! ๎

I have never heard any of the others say that. I have heard them say "one of" but not "the OG", except for "VG the OG of the OC". Vicki says she "birthed" the show and claims to be the ONE around whom the franchise was created.
She is one of five in the first season of RHOC, not the first chosen, not the ONE around whom the show was created, and the rest are gone due to attrition. It isn't because it is her show. She doesn't own Bravo, Andy or RHOC.
If you think about it, she brings the most drama, lies, gossip, pain to others and ridiculous behavior to the screen. When she showed up the annual carnival in town became the perpetual carnival in town.
Did you notice RHONJ suspended filming until Teresa came home? I doubt Bravo would suspend filming for the sake of the Vickster with her fake retching, whooping it up, meddling, drunken peeing the bed, gossiping, cancer scamming, empty love tank having self.

I personally feel people that reach a certain age shouldn't use certain phrases like that. especially people like tamara and vicki who try and sound street with it. very cringe worthy.
White lightening+Black Hammer
I don't even know what that means lol! Is that a Mean Girls reference?
shareIt did sound especially stupid coming from Vicki's mouth. "I'm gonna try to sound cool, so, bye Felicia." I'll bet a dollar she has no idea where that came from or what it means. It reminded me of Heather on RHONYC saying "Holla!" in her tagline. If you have to TRY to be cool, you aren't.
Nene and Kandi can get away with that, not two bleached blonde bimbos from Southern CA.

Is that saying from the movie Friday in 1995? I have only heard people use it on reality shows.
shareBut them through the word "shade" around didn't annoy you?
I loved hearing these women say "bye felicia" - each time it was said, I wanted to watch Friday

shade
The first known use of "shade" is in the documentary film Paris Is Burning (1990), which is about the mid-1980s drag scene in Manhattan.
The expression was popularized by the American reality television series RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2015, Anna Holmes of The New York Times Magazine wrote:
Shade can take many forms โ a hard, deep look that could be either aggressive or searching, a compliment that could be interpreted as the opposite of one. E. Patrick Johnson, who teaches performance studies and African-American studies at Northwestern University, and who has written about the tradition of insults in the gay and black communities, explains: "If someone walks into a room with a hideous dress, but you donโt want to say it's hideous, you might say, 'Oooh โฆ look at you!โ'" At its most refined, shade should have an element of plausible deniability, so that the shade-thrower can pretend that he or she didn't actually mean to behave with incivility, making it all the more delicious.
