Kelly and the "C" word next week

Any tiny shred of respect or tolerating Kelly, for me, is gone!! I am not a prude nor some little innocent, I have said my share of colorful words throughout the years, we all do on occasion, but when Kelly called another woman a C--t... she shared on national TV what a classless, white-trash gutter mouth she has. It's shameful.

It's bad enough that some low class ignorant men use that word concerning women, but when it's done to another woman, it's so demeaning of the female sex, to us all.

I am assuming she either called Shannon or Tamra that, through with her you never know, it's no wonder Heather blew up, Heather has her issues, but one thing she is not is a skank mouth. I really don't think Shannon even cares enough about Kelly anyway, I think most of Shannons energy is towards building her marriage back up, keeping her family together, and raising her kids. Shannon should of never accepted Kelly's invitation for a drink, she did not want to apologize just too ambush again.

Actually if the pot stirrer Tamra could of just for ONCE kept that trap shut, this never would of happened! Next week it's not going too be pretty, I think friendships, at least a few, are going too end forever!

reply

I can't wait to see what made Heather react like that. I don't think she has ever raised her voice...at least not that I can't remember. Even thought she will talk sternly to get her point across, she always seems to be in complete control of herself, which I really like.

For her to lose her temper like that...I'm quite intrigued!

reply

I appreciate your opinion but I 100% disagree about the c-word...and I'm a fellow woman.

First of all, that word is common slang in several English-speaking countries like England and Australia.

I know Kelly is neither English or Australian, but I just wanted to raise that point.

Secondly--I use that word ALL the damn time. When I was younger I always hated how much power it had over women--the few times I saw a woman be called that word she'd absolutely lose her mind, and every woman I spoke to at the time said it was THE MOST offensive thing they could think of.

I thought "how silly. I don't want a word to ever have that kind of power over me". I use it as frequently as any other swear word in my vocab. It's just a swear word!

reply

How trashy of you. I swear too (way more than I should) but that is just such a disgusting word. I have never in my life felt the need to call someone that nor have I been on the receiving end of it nor can I recall any of my friends ever calling any one that. Says a lot about you and the type of person you are and who you hang out with if you were hearing it on several occasions as a younger person.

If they are causing that much of a rift in your life you need to dish that out, cut them loose because they aren't worth it.

Do you feel that way about other slang or curse words for vagina or just that one? Many people certainly have a very strong dislike of it that I don't see with any other curse words.

reply

I have a huge, very strong dislike for that word. It's so cringe worthy and icky.

reply

I think it's just a stupid sounding word. I appreciate others being bothered by it and I've never called anyone that to their face (mostly cause I don't really resort to personal attacks if/when I'm arguing with someone) but in casual conversation I use it like any other swear word, cause I never wanted it to have the power over me like it seems to have over other women (it USED to bother me and offend me way more).

I find it hilarious, to be honest.

I agree. I've never understood why that particular word is any worse than any other swear word!

Racist terms have a history of hatred and oppression tied to them, so that I can get (especially as a POC myself)...but the c-word is just another word that we made taboo for no real reason. And IMO people give the word more power by saying they're so offended by it. All that does is let others know that all they have to do is use/call you that word and you will lose your mind.

reply

Yeah that word doesn't make me go into a disgusted blind rage like other people. It's just a word and people give it power which makes other people use it because they know it'll get a rise out of people. The only word that makes my skin crawl is "panties". UGH.

Sure. I thought it was funny. The entire world isn't as uptight about the word as Americans are.

reply

Someone expressing their opinion about the word *beep* vs. you calling someone you've never met and who has done nothing disrespectful, trashy. Hmmmm.... that seems to say a lot more about you than it does about them.

I'm sorry that a word like that has so much power over you. Enough power to make you attack someone's character like that. There are a lot more hurtful words out there than the c-word, and if you've gone through life this without hearing any of them you must be extremely lucky.

reply

I see your point.

But unfortunately for you and your sensitivities, this is the world we live in, this is where its at, and in that world, the C-word is an insult.

You can try to change that, and more power to you if you can do that, but I doubt you'll be successful. Kuhnt as an insult goes back centuries, and that will not change by your constant use. If anything, it's constant use will work to put a label on YOU.

I get that you don't want a word to have power over you, but again it seems to me that going around, calling women kuhnts and its overuse in other irrelevant ways will not make you more powerful over a word. You might find the organization Queer Nation, and the philosophy behind its name and its tactics more helpful. This advocacy group decided to embrace the societal lingo of being 'queer' (as in gay) and in the process change the word away from insulting to powerful, and removing the stigma. They encouraged men and women to identify THEMSELVES as QUEER and join together, and that their own self-pride would override the shame of labels.

So maybe you could start by referring to yourself as a kuhnt, and then encourage other women to do so, or maybe also include some bitchy men to likewise embrace their kuhntiness, and maybe this could evolve into an advocacy group like LGBTQ.....maybe oh, I don't know, BCWS Movement (Bitch/Kuhnt/Whore/Skank). I'm also sure that Erika Jayne and her entourage would be willing to join you.

Just a thought.

I read somewhere that Tamra already said the c-word was directed towards Shannon. Quite frankly, I don't blame Kelly for calling Shannon a c-nt. Why? Because that is what Shannon is. Shannon is the most judgmental opinionated bitch on the show. How she was or is a "fan favorite" is beyond me. That bitch can't let anything go and will continue to bring it up whether you apologize or not. She's loud and obnoxious and just flatout unforgiving regardless of the offense. She takes herself way too seriously and is no fun to watch. She has an attitude problem. Consider the fact she has had a problem with Heather, Tamra, and now Vicki. The only thing in common is Shannon. Shannon is the problem.

I don't care if Shannon doesn't want to be friends with Vicki. She feels lied to and betrayed and doesn't want to be friends with Vicki anymore. Fair enough. What I cannot appreciate is the fact Shannon is acting like a high school mean girl by making everyone hate Vicki. Why?

Shannon has the nerve to ask Kelly, "Who the F do you think you are?" I have to ask, "Who the F does Shannon Beador think she is?" No, seriously, who does Shannon Beador think she is acting as Judge, Jury and Executioner?

While I can appreciate the fact some people find that word offensive, I have to say the fact it is so offensive is the reason why some women resort to using it. Bitch isn't offensive enough when you're really pissed off at some woman and intentionally want to hurt them back. I've always reserved the C-word for a truly nasty bitch and I believe Shannon is totally being a C nt this season. She deserves it.

No. The N-word is a racial slur with a long and hateful history behind it. Are you a POC? Have you ever been called that word in a hateful way? Cause I have, as has my mother. The N-word is COMPLETELY different.

The term *beep* is now probably the most offensive word in English. Its degree of offensiveness has increased markedly in recent years, although it has been used in a derogatory manner since at least the Revolutionary War. The senses labeled Extremely Disparaging and Offensive represent meanings that are deeply insulting and are used when the speaker deliberately wishes to cause great offense. It is so profoundly offensive that a euphemism has developed for those occasions when the word itself must be discussed, as in court or in a newspaper editorial: “the n-word.”
Despite this, the sense referring to a “black person” is sometimes used self-referentially among African Americans in a neutral or familiar way. The sense referring to other victims of prejudice, especially when used descriptively, as to denounce that prejudice, is not normally considered disparaging—as in “The Irish are the *beep* of Europe” from Roddy Doyle's The Commitments—but the other uses are considered contemptuous and hostile.

I never had any respect for Kelly. Kelly has been acting like a Jerry Springer guest since her debut.

Kelly called Shannon's kids spoiled brats.

Kelly defends Vicki and pretends to know why the women are on the outs with Vicki. Kelly feels sorry for Vicki! Yep stupid.

Kelly calls David a pedophile? Pretty freaken stupid.

Now Kelly called someone a *beep*

After watching Kelly so far, it does not surprise me that she would call someone a *beep*

Kelly is boring and her husband looks like a talking penis. Classy right?

reply

I work with a C word "girl." She truly is a C. I am convinced that she channels Satan each morning to find out the best way to torture me each day.

She gets away with everything she does (lies, cheats, steals (my soul)) and I am emotionally abused in a new and more creative way each day by her Machiavellian moves.

So yeah, there are some true C words in the world, and I call her one every chance I get (in my head, not aloud lol).

reply

The Vice President of the department I used to work for was also a complete "C". I worked with a bunch of women and we all agreed that that was the most fitting word for her. She was just evil.

reply

Here we go!!! No Olympics lol finally back. Let's all watch kelly get drunk AGAIN and act like an ass

reply

I 100% agree. That word is the absolute worst word in the history of the English language.

It's a very low blow, classless, trashy, unintelligent thing to say to another human being. There are other very strong words out there that one can say to get their point across, but that word is just the worst.

I've been called that by my husband's ex, and let me tell you that she's the lowest of the low - she's white trash in every sense of the word. She's uneducated, crass, and self-righteous. So I can say, from personal experience, that that word says more of the person saying it than it does of the person it's said about.

And it was funny when Kelly and Vicki were having dinner at Kelly's house. Kelly was so offended that someone called her a "prostitute" (not "hooker" or "slut", which are much stronger words), yet she can call someone the C-word??? How hypocritical is that? But then again, she's besties with Vicki who is the QUEEN of hypocrisy!

Honestly! Just when you thought there couldn't be anyone worse than Vicki! They shouldn't have been invited to that party.

I've been called a c---t before, but one time someone said it in the most hateful and spiteful way. I was very upset that this person would say this about me when clearly I'm not in any shape or form a "c u next Tuesday". They literally repeated it over and over in my face until I was crying. When I confronted them and said that word hurt me this person ( a man) physically assaulted me.

It only further proves that a person using this word to hurt someone else is the trashiest, lowest, douche you'll ever meet. Trust me I swear like a sailor, but never would I stoop so low as using that word in spite. Completely vile. I don't blame the woman for leaving. If the word makes someone around you uncomfortable just STOP.

reply

I agree!! I think it's funny how people are saying they don't want the word to have power over them which is why they use it, but yet when they use they are trying to show that they have power over that individual.

All I see is trash. That word has never even crossed my mind...no matter how much I dislike a person. If you truly don't like someone that much why bother having them in your life at all?

I've never, in my 31 years of life, heard anyone use that word, let alone another woman saying it to another woman. If you and your friends are using that word on a daily basis it says more about who you are as a person and the type of company you keep.

reply
