I am really flabbergasted at all the guest stars who appear on the show, some big names, top actors and artists. Seeing them pop up unexpectedly all over the place is a big hoot.

So I was wondering, what kind of salary would a big name actor get for appearing in a 30 Rock episode? The shooting is probably done in 1 day for the guest actors, so it can't be much of a hardship.

But even so, aside from it being good for their image to appear in 30 Rock, what kind of financial enticement would be needed to get them to agree?

I think it's because most, of not all, of those big names have at one point been associated with SNL. This show was airing at the height of Tina Fey's popularity on SNL. It's probably everyone being friends and doing favors for each other. I'm sure not totally for free, but I doubt it was a huge paycheck
