Gabriel Sunday, Jordan Miller: THX for making my day :)
I have lucked out, meeting stars of late. Maybe I am getting the hang of how to be "a good fan". Maybe, I am just encountering nice, tolerant folks. Maybe, it's a combo of the two ... Whatever, I have been quite pleased with the folks, with whom I have had the chance to talk with, at this year's SIFF.
It was lovely meeting you two (Gabriel and Jordan), before the screening of your "baby" yesterday afternoon at the Pacific Place cinema (Seattle).
You gentlemen were just that ... Gentlemen, and ...
I wish all fans' encounters with famous folks (or those on their way up?) could be what mine was with you. Gabriel, I still haven't read the autograph you wrote for me. But, I think novel-writing might just suit you, as I joked to you, yesterday.
Both of you were so amicable to me and gamely endured my interrogation (if you will) -- I am awfully curious about films, how they are made, conceived, etc.
It's funny. When I walk into film screening venues, my "Spidey Sense" gets activated. I become attuned to my surroundings, and after asking about who would appear for the apres-screening Q & A, I heard the venue manager make reference to two young men being at the Q & A. I turned around and there you were. So, I walked right over to you, and could not have been received more warmly.
Thank you! And, may I wish you both the best of luck in your future endeavors?
I hope to see the both of your flourish.
And, it was also nice seeing Michael Welch act in your film. He's growing up nicely, isn't he? As is Anton Yelchin. I could go on and on ...
-- DG (Real name with-held, but you can hit me up with a PM if you wish ... We can talk more about my review of your film, therein)
