The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist, even The Shining. Was there any part of this movie that wasn't a shameless rip off?

Haunted house stories did not start with "The Amityville Horror". It was preceded by hundreds of books and many movies. So, "TAH" owes a lot to movies that went before it, especially purportedly true stories.

I never said Amityville was the first haunted house story. I'm saying that Haunting In CT has simply ripped off the Amityville film, amongst others.
