First of all there is no comparison between cheating on your wife and her making you believe your daughter is about to be killed. The first is reprehensible, the second is sick and twisted. If she wanted to get revenge, she could have made her own porn video with some other guy and made him watch it. How many men would go through that and be standing there telling his wife everything was fine? He had as much reason to be outraged (more even) than she did.

This is the biggest howler of an ending you will ever see. It's beyond ridiculous and way beyond believable.

You know, i've seen the film but there are a lot of people who haven't.

I think you are misjudging his character a little bit. She knew what he was like and this seemed like a last ditch effort on her part to try to see if he actually was a good person and could appreciate what he had and change. To his knowledge he was bankrupt, fired, didn't know the status of his daughter and didn't know if his wife had been attacked....and he still couldn't just tell his wife the truth about why all this was happening. I'm not doubting that he cared about his family, but he seemed to care more about his career and their money more than them. His actions didn't just destroy one family, it destroyed two of them. I think she was jsut trying to make him feel like he lost everything he loved because thats the way she felt and the way brosnan felt, but he still didn't get it even after that whole day. At the end he was just glad that it turned out his way and he would probably go on being a jerk
