That was part of their torture; Neil is this big strong guy made completely powerless by Tom's threat to harm his daughter if he resists. Neil's love for his child gives Tom the power to do anything he wants, and Neil will have to take it.

Brosnan isn't exactly threatening, but Butler's about as macho as a bag boy at a supermarket. He spends most of the movie crying his eyes out because he's had his toys taken away. Angela Lansbury could have disposed of that wimp blindfolded with both hands tied behind her back.

yeah like when brosnan says "stand up and be a man for once in ur life", he was all macho at work and pretending to be the big strong man, but really was just a s***bag!!

He had a heart that couldve held the empire of the world & he had to content himself with a cellar
