Damn I hate these kind of movies where directors fooling us.(SPOILERS)
When I saw this movie i though this might be the movie from which a Bollywood(Hindi) movie named "Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante"(only 24 hours) must have been copied.(which is a kidnapping but totally different and I am very much impressed as that was an original movie, bollywood tends to copy a lot from hollywood)
That just threw me offtrack. Otherwise i saw that he was having an affair with the sec and also that this might be due to the affair. I was like there is something wrong with the wife cause she seemed to be too eager to co-operate and then i saw it coming when they reached the cabin.
Well this director/writer is playing with the audience especially with the "intelligent" type. They really are not intelligent actually cause they dont get it and they fall for all those stupid things in the movie and what the director wants us to go is "aaaah oh damn i had a doubt"
That is what I hate, you are making a movie for gods sake not trying to play games. And what about "us" the real intelligent guys we dont get a kick out of it at all. I just wasted a lot of time here(a little less as I fast forwarded most of the stuff once i knew what was going on). Most of the scenes are so bad that we can see through this facade that the director is trying to build up. what pisses me off is the way he is "trying to give away little clues" and trying to make us feel predictable only lead us on.
Just like the angry co-worker so that we think that he has something to do with it as he is trying to sabotage neils career.
And also the end is pathetic, if i were niel I would know it that this is just a plan to expose me, after all I am the "calculative" cunning go getter.
Man this is getting a bad rating from me.
The only movie that i truly enjoyed in spite of it being something that could have never happened and kept us guessing was "Usual Suspects".
I just predict most movies, one of them that really blew me off and the one which I could not predict was Crash (2004).
I guess I am too smart to watch movies anymore. And I just cannot take the movies that were made for people who "think they can predict movies" and this one is just a bid to try and entertain that section of the crowd.
Pathetic
