I was thinking about giving this movie 8/10 but when it finished....

I found only one thing positive about the surprise ending. They did in fact distract me in one clever way.....

It was obvious from the bank scene that the wife was in on it. She distracted him from the police call. She insisted on the bank transaction herself. She was too eager to be a messenger. She disobeyed her husband in handing the documents over to the competition. She was way too cooperative with the villain.

I think the filmmaker wasy trying to get us to guess, "I know how this thing ends. She is having an affair with Pierce. They are going to get his money an run off with the child. But have some fun with him first." I knew the gal was a baddie, but not WHY. So the movie held some suprises for me after all.

All this from a person who knew that Bruce Willis was dead from the start of the movie. So even smug little me likes to get fooled now and then.
