there is a cheating wife and a psycho wife, which one your talking about?

I'm rich and divorced

In that case there is also a cheating husband and a psycho husband, but no one seems to be focusing on that. I was actually kinda disappointed when it turned out the Neil character hadn't lost his money or his job after all. That would've been a way better revenge, and I think it would've served him right. The only real consequence in the end (not including the ordeal he had to go through) is his wife leaving him, which can't have too huge of an impact on him considering the fact that he didn't care enough about her to not cheat on her with his secretary. In my opinion the wife wasn't psycho, and I actually liked her and Pierce Brosnan's character a whole lot better than Neil. Maybe I'm just weird, but I like to see people's actions have consequences.

Both of them could have used a good old fashioned trip to the woodshed...often.

reply

Exactly! I mean, I would totally lose it and go like "And this is how you get back to me, you crazy bitch?! Couldn't you just ask for a divorce?" and by doing so I would also turn the situation to my advantage. I mean, I could even go to the police to report the incident. It was so unrealistic, fun though.

i think the revenge that the wife carried out on her crapbag husband was awesome. she cared about him enough to not completely ruin his life but also showed him what it was that he had done. i think that if what she did had ACTUAL consequences then it would have been much worse, then he could have gotten pissed. however, HE was the one that brought that upon himself and i can't say that if my husband did the same thing that i wouldn't want to see him pay for what he had done.

I think you have to be a real psycho to react as they both did. If my wife did the same to me I'd just leave her for good, otherwise I'll be risking myself to end up in jail.

And I don't know in the US, but in my country destroying money is a very serious crime, that's why I think they just burnt newspapers instead.

Um didn't really matter if Neil wanted to leave HER, she was already leaving HIM. BTW, yes a little psycho (his facial expression at the end conveys EXACTLY what the audience is thinking about her) and I don't think she should have involved his daughter in any way, but the movie really did make you think and I thought it was excellent.

i think after we've seen black screen Neil was killing her, because there were just no other options

He probably really did want to!

If Pierce did this to him then what did he do to his wife? And shouldn't both of the cheated on ponder why they got cheated on? Obviously they're spiteful a-holes so maybe their partners were turned off. If you have a problem with your significant other then confront them. She's obviously one of those hold a grudge types. Divorce is best for both parties but based on her behavior their daughter should reside with him because she's mental.

given the fact that most of you will marry someone of average or below average intelligence. I would not worry. She will just cry after finding out you cheated instead of coming up with such a grand scheme.

If she´d do that to you, you would be to terrified to even contemplate about trying something.
