What a mess. There's reasons you never heard of it. See 'Ca$h' instead.
Wow. Just wow. Caught the trailer for this stinker (when did Hollywood start turning all their time and talents toward making deceptively great trailers, btw???) and thought "hey, it's got Gerard Butler, Pierce Brosnan and Maria Bello in it...it must be good, right?".
Wrong. Bad isn't the word for this muddled mess of a movie. Zero character development (I never cared about what was happening to the two leads as a couple/family), dizzying camera shots, and a clearly slumming Pierce Brosnan were just all totally underwhelming.
Go grab "Ca$h" on Blu-ray instead. Chris Hemsworth in an early role, plus the always superb Sean Bean...in probably one of the most focused and intensely played parts of his lengthy career. I'm not saying "Ca$h" is an amazing movie (it's not), but at least the characterizations and acting are worthy of watching for most of it. Which is much more than I can say for "Shattered".
