Best comedy in years

There have been very few movies that I have laughed at, harder then this one. I'm not sure how you waste Peirce Brosnan and turn Gerard Butler into a pansy, but only in a comic gem like this, could it even be remotely possible.

And Gerard Butler's accent stole the show... his attempts at an American accent will be sidesplitting for years to come. It was even funnier when he gave up on it all together about halfway through the movie.

Hilarious movie, keep the good time rolling

It was great, I never said otherwise. And as far as comedies go, I definitely give it a 10

I don't really think he was going for an American accent, just trying to lighten his own a bit so it would be easier for some to understand him. He's had to do it before and he's pretty capable of it, but when he talks in his full accent it's hard at points to understand him (on a couple occasions even I've had to repeat something to know what he's saying it and I usually understand Scottish accents pretty well).

"Magic?"
"No, it's just loud."

He's being sarcastic.

Actually, if you want to hear his worst american accent, try watching him in Game of Their Lives.

No, don't.. it's terrible!

thats sounded to me like his own ulster (northern ireland) accent...having been transatlantically polished;-)

Brosnan is from Navan, Co.Meath (born in Drogheda Co. Lough)not from Ulster ( I want to point it out that Ulster is also North West part of the Republic of Ireland - Co. Donegal so it is not 6 counties of Northern Ireland only)

I did not think this movie was comical. But still, your critisism did make me laugh.... funny man / woman!

I do admit that it was a bit strange to see Gerard Butler being a pansy / pussy / a little cry baby.... after seeing him in the movie "300". With that body muscle he should be able to flatten Pierce with one blow. But instead Pierce kept a straight face and reached inside his pocket and grabbed the mobile phone.
