Reverse Brosnan and Butler's roles. Does it improve?

Right from the start it didn't seem to click for me.

I was able to work with Butler as the husband, but Brosnan did not work for me as Tom Ryan. I think the movie would have worked better with the two roles reversed.

Yeah, Butler as a menacing sociopath is perfect. In fact..HE AINT ACTIN!!! He reminds me of Bale, Ray Liotta...just one of those dudes that really probably is crazy.

I really don't get why they chose to do it that way.

Completely agree. Brosnan was badly miscast. He should have been the husband and Butler should have been the kidnapper.
