Is it really so easy to unplug a person in coma?
No need for court order, or medical committee - just like that, go and disconnect the person from life supporting systems?

shareYep. The doctors examined her and determined she was brain-dead. He was her husband and was acquitted of attempted murder so he had the right to have life-supported ended. Had the ADA been able to get there in time with the court order that might have given them time to get her family involved in a court battle for them to have the right to decide on whether to pull the plug. The ADA knew there was a restraining order against him so he should have had police go to the hospital with the court order but didn't.
I'm surprised the wife's family hadn't intervened in the beginning. Maybe she didn't have family. I don't remember any mention of that being made. Was there?
