One of Deniro's best performances

Good come back after righteous kill...he displays great variety throughout...scene with bruce willis when he asks him to shave the beard is *beep* mint.

Great movie overall..never has brothers in arms been used so wisely before.

You guys must have seen a different cut of the movie than I did.

DeNiro almost put me to sleep in this one. Of course, he didn't have much of a script to work with, so maybe it wasn't his fault.

What have you been smoking when you watched this movie ?
Best Deniro performance ? Man, that *beep* you smoked is top quality !

Once upon a time (in america) Deniro name on the poster was the only reason u need it to buy a movie ticket ... after the fumbles Deniro took in the last 5 years .. Deniro name is a reason NOT to buy a ticket.

How the mighty have fallen ! tut tut ... sad man

I think his performance in Showtime with Eddie Murphy dwarfed this pathetic movie...

And that was no critically acclaimed flick.

hahaha, you're joking right?

it took me 2 goes to get through this movie, even then i had to skip some bits here and there because i was literally falling asleep

Good performance, better than in Righteous Kill. But then again, De Niro was the only reason I sat through New York, New York. He makes a lot of no-so-good films worth the effort.

The script wasn't very exciting; if you're not interested in the production side of movies, it's quite a bore. If it weren't for De Niro, it wouldn't have a 6.9 rating, but a 5.6 or something. Imagine this film with Mel Gibson, or Russel Crowe in the lead. And what about Mario van Peebles? Well, he could have actually made it work. Seriously.

u don't really watch a lot of movies, do you?? you definitely haven't seen the last samurai, born on the fourth of july, magnolia, interview with the vampire, rain man, collateral and more recently, tropic thunder??

laurence fishburne is a good actor.

keanu, well... ummm... he chooses good scripts and umm.... he plays expressionless characters very well... whether the script demands it or not is a different case altogether.
