right heres a bit of info for people who didnt get the film

the film gets the role of a producer bang on, and what can happen when you dont do your job. rob deniros character is too distracted by suspecting his wife is having an affair that he takes his eye off the ball and allows the director to change the final cut, rather than doing his job and protecting the product( i.e fireing the director and recutting it if needed) in the ending it also shows how if a producer screws up your career in the biz can take a huge hit as the story shows unlike if a director screws up they call it art. lol.

anyway thought id drop in my 2 cents so to speak.

Thanks for that, i managed to get all that from the usual place ...the plot. But this doesnt explain why the film was so boring,disapointing and pointless. Everyone gets the film, there isnt much to get, and they thought it was dull.

Agreed, although as long as we're explaining things I do have a question. What was going on between his daughter and the dead agent?

I think they had an affair - another thing the main character missed when he was busy making crappy movies... ;)

I love De Niro and Willis but this movie has disappointed me... Feels like De Niro just wanted to show the insides of the Hollywood production... but no-one realy cares, we just want good movies!!!

P.S. Also dog shooting scene was disturbing, there was no need for this, could have done with something less shocking.

Watch Entourage instead.

This movie was like watching Ari Gould's story without the charisma, energy or one-liners
