Good gimmick. I hope that is not the real Bruce Willis and that he was just parodying himself in this. The consensus among the message boards is that Bruce Willis is pretty well grounded as a person and pretty ego-less for a major Hollywood movie star.

Please tell me you're joking about Bruce Willis being grounded and ego-less.
He is honestly not just ONE of the biggest, he arguably IS the biggest ego driven
pain in the arse in the entire film community that IS hollywood.
I'm sticking by my conviction on this, glockdude-1.
Just look at the public record with how he handled his previous wife. A lesser person than him surely would have been infuriated to have been asked to attend the wedding of the wife, who left him , and her much younger beau . And judging from recent event, on the public record, no one would have blamed him for gloating that his ex-wife has now been humiliated by this same younger man. Instead he has defended his ex-wife and supported her. The guy (Bruce Willis) has been pretty much detached from the whole cycle of events. Some would say he dealt with it like a Zen Master.
Anyway, that's my take on it.

Filmbuff, his family might be a different story (I have no idea)
but as far as work goes, I can tell you with 100% certainty that the guy
is a total ass.
I actually know people who worked with him on a particular tv show he did early on..
I've heard countless directors talk about how he works. (Even Michael Bay
has publicly stated how hard it is to work with the guy, Kevin Smith is another
classic case. NUMEROUS times Kevin has talked about his experience with him)
Once again, outside of "work" I have no idea what the guy is like but
this movie role is about an actor with an overblown ego concerning his "work".

That's interesting. I didn't catch that when I watched. I'm almost tempted to re-watch the movie, but I'm working down a list and I'm determined not to do repeat viewings.
Thanks for that interesting trivia on his work behavior. Of course if that is how he is in the work environment, then that is definitely NOT cool. I have no tolerance for narcissistic behavior and I think most movie viewers are not aware that many actors/actresses on that level lean in that direction. From your post I will now re-think my opinion on Bruce Willis. I always thought the man was a stand up guy. :-(
