how come this is the first i've heard of this movie

It's a pretty good movie (at least in my opinion). It's not a great fantasy movie, but it's worth a look.

yeah i heard about it listening to a podcast and checked out the trailer and it looks like a big production and good action/special effects. i'll check it out

I think this is one of the best fantasy movies out there, I gave this a 10/10 rating. It's similar to A Princess Bride & it's directed by Matthew Vaughn!

gave it 9/10. Only Gervais was irritating, but he gets killed off quickly!

Its my fav film, i have done a film review on it, i could just watch it all the time, i love Charlie Cox looks really cute looking. love it when he goes back to the village in that white coat and runs back to the wall.
Also u have to youtube the music its great.

I remember reading the DC miniseries when it first came out and I loved it. I had no idea they made a movie about it until today. Can't wait to see the movie!

I asked myself the same question just recently, after not having heard of this film until a few months ago. Found it on Netflix.

Very enjoyable overall.
