This movie is better than Lord of the Rings in every way
Anyone can take a book with minimal plot and spread it thin over 3 boring movies.

share3 books....none of them with minimal plot.
sharewhat the hell are you smoking?
shareI hope you were just trolling and not being serious. As much as I love Neil Gaiman and his novels, Lord of the Rings is a lot better. There is so much that goes on in LotR... there's a lot that Peter Jackson couldn't even fit in. Still, I loved how true to the books those movies were and how they really brought Middle Earth to life. Stardust was really light and fun and it was a cute movie, but it was very different from the novel. I have only seen this movie once or twice because there isn't the same draw that there is with LotR where you want to go back and watch it over and over and every time you watch you catch more little details that you didn't see the first twenty times you watched it.

The Truth is Out There.
That's kind of like comparing The Big Bang Theory to Star Wars - they're totally different genres... Stardust is a cute, quirky comedy and Lord of the Rings is this giant epic - the only thing they have in common is the fantasy element.
shareI really hope that you ate joking. I've read the loud off the rings and stardust both movies are among my favorites that I can and will watch repeatedly they are two completely different stories that really cannot be compaired. If you think that the lord of the rings has a minimal plot than you missed a lot.
shareUh, how old are you?
shareThis movie is so much better than the pretentious LOR mlovies. For one thing, they have some female characters to add variety....I always get all the hobbits/midgets/warlocks/whatever in the other movies mixed up. Simply too many male characters to keep straight : ( I mean, there are MASSES of them!
