Why Didn't They Just Call It 'The F Word'?

Seriously, why didn't they just title the movie either "The F Word" or "The Effword" instead of using an actual word that cannot be marketed or appear in trailers or get the film a wide release and thus negate the public from seeing it? They've just committed box office suicide!

It's a documentary. That isn't exactly box office material to begin with. I know you could say that Borat was considered a documentary as well, but I think everyone can agree that it is more of a movie appealing to the young mainstream.

Because that negates the entire point of the *beep* movie.

Whatever they called this movie, it was never going to be seen by a wide audience.

Because the whole issue surrounding this film is sensorship.....

By substituting the word it would be a blatant contradiction of the entire film!

Sounds amazing, this thing.

It seems to me they were trying to prove a point by calling it F U C K.

They did that for the documentary 'The N Word' (http://imdb.com/title/tt0417003/), for obvious reasons.

For the same reason the documentary This Film Is Not Yet Rated was released unrated. It's kind of the point. Anything else would be hypocritical.
