NC-17 for some explicit sexuality

cut out the sex scenes and i'd rated it R

R for non-stop pervasive language, and some strong sexual content

Wait, if they cut out all the sex scenes how can you rate it for strong sexual content?

What business...is it of yours..where I'm from...FRIEND-O?

reply

You're a moron.

I think I'd rate it G... nothing bad is in it... I think anyone should be able to hande it.

If you are an atheist and are 100% proud of it put this as your signature.

why? f_uck is about sex. How can you have a film discussing the word f_uck, and not discuss the sexual nature of it, and how it is dealt with in other countries. Especially when NA freaks out about a covered nipple, an in another country( i think Scandinavian is the example) people have straight sex on stage.

Rated NC-17 for non-stop pervasive strong language throughout and a scene of explicit sexual content.

I think the fact that the clip clearly displayed unsimulated sex, for a substantial amount of time (the clip was from a porn website, after all). There's no reason why this is R when the same content is otherwise rated NC-17.

Meanwhile horrific acts of violence in a movie that are far worse can get into a R rated movie. NC17 is a stupid rating in general, if you wanna know more about that one go see the movie This Film Is Not Yet rated

Fair point, I'm not too convinced by NC-17 either. If I want porn, I've got better ways to find it. If society can just grow to accept sex as something that basically all of us are gonna do at some point in our lives, and the reason for our continued existence on this rock, then life'd be a lot less complaint-ey. R ratings with helpful Sex/Language/Violence/Other markers are fine by me. I've been meaning to give TFINYR a look-see, too. On a pop-documentary binge, lately :)

I'm just glad that in my country we don't have NC17, we go up to R and that's it. NC17 to me always seemed like an R rating with less advertising. What I've found funny with the rating though is that a movie with violence is really likely to get an R rating but if you replaced every violent act with a sex act you'd get an NC17 almost every time. You'd really enjoy it I reckon, if you enjoyed F_CK then you'll definitely enjoy TFINYR
