If you've never seen the Studio 60 Christmas episode

If you've never seen the Studio 60 Christmas episode, try and set aside a couple of hours during the christmas season and get the DVD or watch on Hulu. I say a couple of hours because you may well find you want to watch it again after the first viewing.

One of the finest hours of TV ever

I watched it last week. I can't get through listening to O Holy Night without tearing up anyway but the passion those guys played it with darn near killed me.

Yeah, I can't stop getting misty every time I see that. One of the greatest Christmas episodes of a TV show I have ever seen.

I get goosebumps just thinking about it

Aaron Sorkin has a great record of incredible Christmas episodes: just think about "In Excelsis Deo" and "Noel" from the West Wing, great pieces of tv.

Watched it last night. Saved it on my DVR from 2 years ago. Classic.

That episode is brilliant. I actually just got finished watching it for the second time and it got me all worked up again about how mad I am that this show got cancelled. So I promptly came here to rant.

The whole theme to Matt, Danny, and Jordan on the show was that they didn't care what the media thought about them. Well I wish the NBC executives had felt that way because I'm sure if they re-aired the first season of this show over the summer they'd be able to get enough people hooked to bring it back!

I agree, One of the Best Episodes ive seen!!
I wish that this show could have gone on longer, i was so disappointed it was canceled...the same can be said about sports night also.

I've never cried so much at the tv, I was just pouring buckets, it was so happy for everyone and left it on a nice note before it got back down to serious plotlines in the next episode.

Along with "Noel" (2nd Season) and "In Excelsis Deo" (1st Season) from the West Wing you can include "Holy Night" (4th Season) one of my favorite episodes as it offers some insight into the life of Toby Ziegler, my favorite character on the show.

"Sports Night" also had a great Christmas episode in the first season. It was "The Six Southern Gentlemen of Tennessee" which was a fantastic episode altogether.

Dan and Casey listing the crew of Sports Night was very touching IMHO.

Totally agree ericp5! I bought the series for this episode! I am a West Wing Junkie and own everything Aaron Sorkin has ever done. This was nearly his crowning achievement. Bradley Whitford was FANTASTIC in this episode.

Along with the christmas episodes of West Wing, I watch Studio 60's as well in the days before christmas. For various reasons I didn't enjoy christmas much until I was older, and still I need help along the way. The help comes in traditions, music, memories and episodes from West Wing and Studio 60.

Sad and pathetic, I know, but adam sorkin is that good.

It was an expensive cast, but you get what you pay for. And you got TV at its best. I don't know the details on why it was cancelled, but I am sad it did. I don't watch much TV, sadly cause they cancel everything good, and stick with braindead and cheap entertainment.
