Did it end?

I watched some of the show when it was on over here (UK) but it was shunted around in the schedules and I lost track somewhere.

However, been watching The West Wing, been loving it and decided to buy the Studio 60 boxset so I could enjoy some more Sorkin goodness.

My question, knowing it only had one season is; does it end?

Is there a satisfying conclusion or will I be left on a frustrating cliffhanger? I need to be prepared beacuse I've been annoyed before (Firefly!!!)

Non-spoilerifics would be helpful thanks guys! :)

It only had one eason and it wraps everything up by the finale.

If you've watched Studio 60 and West Wing, you can tell Aaron Sorkin has a fondness for Gilbert & Sullivan, (Lionel: "The one about duty." Ainsley: "They're all about duty.")

WHen Studio 60 aired in the .s., its auduience was terribly loyal and vocal, although not large enough to make the ratings economically suitable. Given the passion and devotion of the audience (fans even bought an ad to say good-bye to the show) I like to think that, as would a G&S character, Sorkin looked on it as a matter of duty to the fans to wrap things up in a confident, satisfying manner.

Maybe that just make it easier to handle the cancellation

And of course no-one can fail to spot the Pirates Of Penzance poster in Matt's office in S60. Thank you for the succinct (and non-spoilery) help there.

Well, mini progress report - after a long wait after watching The West Wing from start to finish we began watching Studio 60 a couple of nights ago.

And have somehow only got 6 episodes left.

Curse you, Sorkin and your incessant need to make me keep watching....

I hate that it ended so early, but whenever I think like that, I remind myself that for the most part the story lines were wrapped up and that British television programs usually only get 6 episodes a season, so by that count, we got pretty lucky to have 22 eps of such a great show.
