Losers and Whiners

Are people on this board still complaing of the (well deserved) demise of this show???

NBC did the right thing (for once). The show got zero ratings.

The show sucked, was not funny, and now its gone.

30 ROCK rules (now that's funny).

(Mentioning 30 ROCK to STUDIO 60 fans upsets them VERY much!!!! :) :) :) )

Hehe. The latest post is from you. So I guess that makes you the biggest loser.

Nothing better to do than hang around a cancelled show board and rub it in?

You just made me feel sooo good about myself. Thanks!

Hardly "hanging around" this board. Once a year? But I shall return every so often to "rub" it in...funny stuff...

30 ROCK is NBC's #1 Comedy (Studio 86'd fans hate that!)

The majority of viewers and critics seem to agree with you since Studio 60 did undoubtedly have lousy ratings. I love 30 Rock, its great. I do love Studio 60 more though. I just love Aaron Sorkin's dialogue. I know that the non-stop quickwit isn't realistic but i still love it.

Emmy winner? So you're talking about some obscure show on cable, right? Limited audience, that kind of thing?

reply

Maybe you just didn't understand it.
It was very well written and produced, it had a lot of good plots in one season, I can't even begin to imagine what they could have done if they had more time. All the plots wouldn't have been shoved into one season.
Also, it wasn't a comedy so much as a drama, it wasn't aiming to be funny except for the skits they produced, which were actually funny.

EDIT: eughh, I would answer a year and some later.

Two things:

Firstly, gloating over the fact this show got cancelled makes you look very petty indeed. You may not have liked it, but plenty of people do, so maybe your time could be better spent watching something you do like and discussing it with other fans rather than sticking your tongue out at a group of people you don't know about something that clearly upset them.

Secondly, I'm a big fan of 30 Rock and Studio 60. Any comparison between the two besides that they're both set behind the scenes of a TV show is pointless. 30 Rock is a comedy, Studio 60 is a dramedy meaning it doesn't have to be funny all the time. I'm not upset that you mentioned 30 Rock.

And just to clear it up, I only just watched this series, hence my visiting this message board. I am not someone "still complaining", and I doubt that any of the new threads that pop up regarding the premature canceling of the show are from those who watched it five years ago. Further, rather than being upset at it being cancelled, I'm more bewildered. The writing was strong, the characters likable and the stories engaging. You may not agree, and that's your right, but please keep your trolling to yourself.

I agree with Hina. Is it wrong to reminisce about a show very much cared for? I mean people do from time to time have marathons (myself included) and maybe something they didn't catch the first time or even 2nd time is brought up again. What is the harm in that? Plus we also want to keep the board alive.

And the signature.. goes....where? :D
