shareIt was not without its flaws, but the core story of a bunch of people doing their best to put on a weekly tv show was something that appealed to me greatly and it would have been nice to see the show get a Season 2 to work a little on what worked and what didn't.
"They have a grill, it's this grill. Now you have it...it's called America."
It was okay. I worked in TV for a few years, including when the show premiered, so I looked forward to it. The problem I had was that it went over my head, and that was with TV experience, so I can't imagine how the average viewer felt.
To me, when I tell people what I did in TV, if was fascinating...for about 5 minutes. Same for when you go on a tour of a studio. I think the show lost people because it tried too hard to make behind-the-scenes TV fascinating, and didn't focus on the characters. In the end, I didn't find myself caring about anyone on the show.
That being said, NBC gave up on it too soon. I understand the budget was too much and didn't justify the ratings, but they've kept lesser-performing shows on too.
Oh stewardess...I speak jive.
