Seriously it was my favorite pilot show. I can't think of one that started quicker and with better acting, writing, characters, graphics, direction, casting and music (in total combination, not in each individual category). That being said, it's easy to see why it wound down after just one season. Maybe it's best left like that rather than staying at the party too late...
shareYeah it started real fast, and real good, and that's why I got sucked deep into it too soon. The end of the season was botched, as they knew the show wouldn't be renewed for a second season ; but unlike you I do think there was some potential for at least that second season. And I don't that would have been "staying at the party too late" ! I don't know what you think now that you might have finished watching all the episodes.
shareOh I own the DVD package and have watched it again after watching it all the way through its NBC season. I agree they must've been giving up on a second season with the way the ended with a three-part episode and the main characters all pairing off into couples. I just don't know what the continued storylines would've been in a second season. Maybe like Sports Night?
shareI am watching it again (right now) for the 1st time since the first season. it IS a great pilot. I'd put the West Wing pilot ahead of it.
This is far and away the best show ever to not get a 2nd season. Very puzzling.
Right on. It's a fantastic pilot. It was a great series, and I just don't get why it wasn't continued. So many good shoes get cancelled and it's utterly baffling, when there are so many horrible ones doing just fine.
