Hypocrisy, no?

So the whole movie is about teaching a kid about real values in life - not just money. After he's finally learned his big lesson the prize is [drum roll] a bucket load of money! What made it even more ridiculous, was that they actually underlined the importance of the market value (2 billion) of the company with big smiles on their faces while stating it out loud.

The movie isn't completely hopeless, but has some huge flaws. With better editing, cast and music, it could've been a very different story (pun intended).

Yeah, but when the kid received the money he would be more responsible with it. If he didn't learn the lessons he would have blown all that dough. He learned how to give back. Just think of all the good he could accomplish.

Yeah, well, you also have to let some things slide.

The best part in the movie for me was the airline stuart saying, "I know exactly who you are. You are the guy in 32B."

I agree with you, had he gotten the money right away, he would've blown it all without a second thought. By learning these life lessons, he learned the value of starting off with nothing, making something of it, and watching it grow. When he got the money, instead of spending it on HIMSELF, he used it to help and benefit OTHERS

Plus he also saw the reactions from the rest of his realitives and saw that if he didn't change, he would remain as cruel and cold hearted like them, and this became evident at the Christmas dinner. Learning these life lessons also made see the value of life as well.
