i actually really liked this movie. it had a good plot and kept you guessing. The end was kinda strange but i thought it was a good way to end the movie. I cant believe in America is PG 13 in ireland its 18's!

I thought it was ok as well - some of the scenes were very well done. I especially liked the scene in the dark-room when he thinks his wife touches his face and then the phone rings and it's his wife!
Good creepy stuff! The plot twists whilst predictable created tension and I thought the film was well paced and the ending very satisfying.
Having said this, I don't watch much horror movies and haven't seen the original. I'll take it as a given that the original is *way* better, but I think this movie has been slightly underated.

Me too. It was not great, but it held up well I thought. It was creepy and atmospheric, and I found some of the images disturbing.
shareI liked it a lot too. I don't understand why everyone hates it. I haven't seen the original but I thought this one was pretty good on its own. You actually know why the ghost is angry/evil, unlike other movies like The Ring (which I thought was extremely overrated). And the ending image I will remember for a long time! So creepy.
