I need movie titles similar to the original of this one

I'm one of those late late late bloomers that realized just a few years ago that American remakes of foreign horror movies SUCK for the most part, and started catching some originals on cable when I happened to see them. I absolutely love them. The problem is, I cannot for the life of me remember any titles to any of the handful or so of movies I'd seen. Most are Japanese or something like that, and have to do with hauntings of some sort-one I remember in particular had to do with seeing a website that cursed you and you went crazy til you dried up or something like that. Another had to do with getting away from technology altogether because something was able to travel and get to people using it-PCs, phones, TVs, etc. Heck I might be describing the same movie!

I was wondering if anyone had a comprehensive list of the foreign horror movies out there that were remade by Hollywood. I can only think of this one and REC.

Also, where to get the foreign ones on DVD?
