Why was this movie shot in Japan when the original was Thai?
I thought that's a little disrespectful.
shareNot at all. It's a remake and the producers can essentially do what they like, as long as they have the permission to remake. I said on another thread, that I think it was set in Japan to cash in on the popularity of the Ring movies. What I found odd was there doesn't appear to be any acknowledgement of the earlier film.🐭
