Megumi's house - spoilerish
Sorry if it has already been asked but when they enter Megumi's house, wouldn't they smell the decaying body?
(hope i remember correctly, have not seen this in a while)

After putrefication and early decomposition, a body eventually stops smelling. This is because the smell associated with a dead body is caused by bacteria essentially eating other bacteria and...creating gases. Once there is nothing left to eat, the smell dissipates.
shareAn unrelated thought, but I'm filing it under your "Megumi's house" subject:
Movies are so much better when the characters' behavior is reasonable according to what we know AND to what we don't know yet, i.e. post-twist. That's why The Sixth Sense holds up so well on re-watch: everything works, both ways.
Ben taking Jane to Megumi's house is understandable if he's really trying to get to the bottom of what's happening, but as a guy who knows he has good reason to be terrified of this ghostly ex/victim--and who's already taken revenge on his pals--he'd never suggest they go poke around her home territory.
Let's go over to Megumi's house and see what we can turn up. No.
