Photographers out there...

Something that bothers me about this film, but I wouldn't know as well as professional photographers would. The using of the dark room for professional magazine prints?

I may not be a professional fashion photographer but I have watched a lot of America's Next Top Model, and done modeling myself--and all the photographers use digital prints. It's all done on the computer. Do any professionals still use a dark room for fashion shots??? I get the appeal of how creepy it can be for a movie but this ruined a bit of reality for me while watching. I can see why he might want a dark room simply being a photographer but not for his job anyway? This was made in 2008....
