What's up with IMDB's Worst of 2006 list?

Somwthing muat be screwed up with IMDB's voting on the end of year Worst list becuase it really doesn't reflect the number of attrocious movies put out this year. On the bottom 100 list there are:
- 5 in the bottom 10 (that's half!)
- 7 in the bottom 20 (that's like a third)
The stupid thing is that in the end of year poll for the worst movie of the year, NONE of these bad movies were in the list of top ten worst movies. The movie that was supposedly voted the worst has a rating of 2.7 and isn't even in the bottom 100. ALthough i must say it was pretty terrible movie.
How can none of these movies make the cut? C'mon, they are terrible. One of the movies in the Worst of 2006 list (Borat) has a 7.9 rating, and was in the TOP 250 for a while. WTF. To make it even more screwed up Borat and Pirates of the Caribian were both in the Best of 2006 list for best movie, as well as the Worst of 2006! What's up with that?
