As with all of the studios films, Ant-Man also has a great deal of warmth. In the midst of their efforts to do nothing less than save the world, fathers are suturing old wounds with their daughters, as mentors and mentees form bonds... and break them. These are human issues, and even the core threat is fundamentally earth-bound. A world-altering weapon in the hands of a private corporation certainly isn’t a novel idea, but it is a very real concern. Yet it’s the relationships, rather than the plot, that drive Ant-Man.
It's almost like Ant-Man was the greatest after credits link of all-time. Meaning, Marvel puts out a universally loved movie to follow Age of Ultron and set up all of Phase Three. It was the perfect slot for an intimate yet fun film.
Peyton Reed did a great job under some difficult circumstances. Ant-Man is full of heart, laughs, and some great action. I am thinking that this is going to have a a very high rewatchability factor.
Ant-Man is thematically strong and has true depth to every character we see on screen, even the supporting cast. Hell, ESPECIALLY the supporting cast. It uses its small size to its advantage and crafts a superb adventure with spellbinding special effects and performances and one fun story and thrilling plot points.
Overall, Ant-man is a fast-paced, witty and thrilling addition to the Marvel Universe and a winning lead turn from Paul Rudd which should cement his status as new leading action hero.
Ant-Man isn't reinventing the wheel but it surely is more impressive than most assumed before they saw it. The witty banter and the constant tongue-in-cheek nature fits perfectly with the likes of Iron-Man fighting with Captain America or the entire Guardians group always hating on each other.
i'm looking forward to ant man meeting the avengers. he spent much of ant man looking rather stunned at what had befallen him. imagine his reaction to the avengers mansion and stark's tech.
i can only hope that they won't have tony acting like an a-hole towards him.
Honestly not sure if you're serious, I'm going to assume you are. Marvel has been somewhat 'breaking down the films' into groups or phases.
Phase 1: Iron Man The Incredible Hulk Iron Man 2 Thor Captain America: The First Avenger The Avengers
Phase 2: Iron Man 3 Thor: The Dark World Captain America: The Winter Soldier Guardians of the Galaxy Avengers: Age of Ultron Ant-Man
Phase 3: Captain America: Civil War Doctor Strange Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Untitled Spider-Man Thor: Ragnarok Avengers: Infinity War Part I Black Panther Captain Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Part II Inhumans
Inhumans takes us to July 2019 - Feige said a while back they have plans that take them (at that time) to 2028 but that the roadmap continues to expand. So yes, there will likely be a Phase 4, maybe even a Phase 5

Agent Hill: ...Then aliens invaded New York and were beaten back, by among others, a giant green monster, a costumed hero from the 40's.... and a god.
Agent Ward: I don't think Thor is technically a god.
Hill: Well...you haven't been near his arms.

No. Although the film owes a lot of its style to the Moebius (Jean Giraud) comic The Airtight Garage (which was reprinted by Marvel), The Fifth Element was written by Luc Besson as an original screenplay, and Marvel Studios had nothing to do with it.
Marvel is doing a lot of viral stuff for this film (first the WHIH videos with Everhart and now this Cross video) that I don't remember them really doing before with other MCU films. It's an interesting marketing plan by them and one probably being done because it's such an unknown property.
A tidy profit for Marvel AND another cool character added to the mix (Can't wait for Giant-Man). A nice combination. I think most of us can agree that Marvel made another good casting choice when they selected Paul Rudd.
