Just a question for anti 'american remake' folks........

I just have a question for the folks of theses British series/movies such as "The Office " and "Life On Mars" etc.

Why do you folks have such a problem with the Americans "remaking the British originals" when the Brits do the exact same thing to the Americans and "remake" programs that were originally American such as "The Longest Yard"?

I mean if a British program has no need to be changed from British to American then there is no good reason you could possibly give that an American Program needs to be re-made for the Brits.

Thanks templeremus, that's just it.

Why do I object to American remakes? In a few words, because they suck 99.9% of the time. They dumb everything down that's good and funny and smart to the point of nothingness. That's why.

Because Americans only remake UK stuff which is pretty outstanding, and with the bar set that high, its unlikely that the remake will be as good.
