I am just starting to watch this on Netflix, and the music between every little chase scene is killing me! There were far better songs in the 70's than what they are playing here!!!!!
And they turn the volume up on the music scenes, like tv commercial volumes. It is very aggrevating. I may not watch this entire show because of the music!
I hope you did finish the series. The music is just perfect imho. As for the loudness, well, here in the States that was normal back then. I lived through the seventies and so much of this rings true.

As far as the selection goes, I thought it was great. They went for appropriate stuff in context, and for Mid 70s in the UK, they made some pretty good choices.
