A couple of days ago I watched a couple of episodes from the first season. Here are a couple of observations, the test card girl fills the role that was taken by Jim Keats as a soul seeking demon and the persona that Gene takes on is both a sort idealised version of a policeman and dealing with unresolved anger issues. Anyone got their own ideas?

For me the Test Card Girl corresponded to the Clown in Ashes to Ashes and Frank Morgan was the "Satanic" Soul Seeker represented by Jim Keats in A2A.

To add to my above thoughts in my previous post, just as Frank Morgan offered Sam the temptation of a return to his previous life , Keats fulfilled a similar role with Alex.
