Always use a new bag when you find money

Amateurs get Chigurgh'ed

That and check it for air tags.

reply

What's an air tag?

reply

Tracking devices/locator devices, similar to the find my iPhone app, made by Apple, very small, could be inserted into a stack of bills and wouldn’t be noticed unless it was searched for. Google it for size dimensions. People use them for all sorts of things as an added bit of protection in case the item in question is stolen or lost, luggage, cars, backpacks, parents monitoring their kid’s cars locations…..

reply

But it seems like they have a limited range, as in your own house only.
Would they work like in the movie on a long distance?

reply

I believe they work as long and as far as their ability to reach the source signal, not sure where that is, but I think it’s similar to a phone signal. I know people have tracked stolen property from across major cities with them, and that people put them in their cars to assist in tracking them if they’re stolen.

Here ya go, real world example.

I don't think the range was that long. Chigurh had a rough idea where Llewelyn was headed then drove around the city until he was close enough to the money to get a hit.

reply

Agreed, but we were talking about something else though, air tag range in present day theft scenarios.

reply

Maybe I misunderstood Heisenberg, but I read what he wrote to mean he thought the device in the movie had a long range.

reply

Especially when the attache case holding the money is straight out of central props. Who carries a case like that, if it doesn't have money or something top secret in it? At least put it in a normal looking suitcase or duffle bag.

And if he transferred the money to another bag, he might have found the tracking device.

reply

What if he just really wanted that sweet leather case the whole time?
