just one problem with casting...
I just didn't buy Rosario Dawson in that role... should have been someone maybe a bit older and edgier... think Joan Allen from the Bourne series... any thoughts?

shareGet real, man, young, edgy, black woman in a non-traditional role as a ramrod at a rail yard.... It's Hollyweird GOLD, man!
shareI agree
Although Rosario is easy on the eyes, in that role someone should have more "grittier". Maybe S Epatha from Law and Order or LaTayna Richardson from U.S. marshals would've looked the part
Rosario was PERFECT. No... wait... she was BETTER than perfect!
Think you can outrun the world? (Barbossa)
I think it was the perfect casting choice, they were saying someone younger and not quite as edgier or experienced as someone older can make life or death decisions.
shareI thought Rosario Dawson did a fine job in her role.
I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!
I think she was not likeable...She was rude to the inspector and appeared arrogant.
shareShe's not arrogant...she's just trying to do her job which she knows very well AND she's young--so she's kind of got something to prove. She was a bit busy at the time of her meeting the inspector...what, with a train full of children getting ready to crash into an unmanned train.
Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!
are you crazy? she absolutely NAILED the role. everything she did felt authentic.
together the ants can crush the elephant.
I'm kinda between the two positions: she did a good job with the dialogue and playing the scenes as written. But a lot of the railroad guys were pretty tough dudes with 'tude, so she didn't seem to have a tough enough edge to make it really believable that she could put them in their place when necessary and get them doing what she wanted when needed.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
